In this house it is reason to celebrate but more my husband "G's" birthday then the Irish holiday.
The day/night before the girls and i bake a homemade cake, wrap one or the other present. The girls make homemade cards & then we decorate & set the breakfast table so everything is all set in the morning.
This morning 3/17/2014 we were woken up at 6:25 am by a big jolt, windows were shaking walls and floors rolled as if on a boat on high sea, as an earthquake rolled through. Even though we awoke quite early there was no time this morning for a sit down breakfast to enjoy a piece of cake....speaking of this year it's a chocolate, chocolate nutcake.
i can't wait 'til the girls are out from school, we get to sit down & G cuts the cake.
