Y's one bowl "ueber" chocolate cake

the kids are getting out for spring break today. so we're starting the weekend early with a triple chocolate cake. Y found the recipe and did her own spin on the toppings.

Psst, it tastes delicious ! The semi sweet morsels on top melted a bit into the top of the cake (since the cake was not completely cooled) and created this ooey - gooey not too sweet chocolate topping.

Y did not divide the batter but opted to bake all batter in one round tin. yes, we renamed the cake and like i mentioned Y did not make frosting but used some rest we had [hanging out in the fridge], semi sweet morsels and powdered sugar for her topping. click here for the chocolate cake recipe
