This Thanksgiving we are gathering with some friends & i am in charge of some sides. The german red cabbage is done, brussel sprouts and glazed carrots are all prepped and the mashed potatoes will be whipped up shortly before leaving the house. Phew! 
What's left now is a little surprise for the hostess. Her favorite being Cherry pie I hope that this a first for me will hit the spot.
So here we go, making cherry pie from scratch. Crust is made. The top crust chilling in the fridge. now off to making the filling :). Wish me luck ! :) Will post pictures of the end product later.
