simple solutions...

this morning while packing "Z's" fruit for her lunch it came to me - instead of soaking the apples in lemon infused water [citric acid keeps them from oxidizing]
 why not just slice an orange and layer it with the apple slices in the "fit & fresh" * container and voila the sliced oranges juices touching the apple slices will keep them from getting brown. 
can't get any simpler than that. in addition the apples look appetizing and stay cool.


* i recently had to stock up on food containers and found some called "fit & fresh". i love them they come inall different   shapes, colors and sizes with measurements on the side and best of all a cooling element that fits right into the lid.
