extend the life of your kitchen herbs. with spring and summer I tend to use even more fresh herbs in my cooking then the rest of the year. i learned this trick a few years ago and thought to share it with my fellow herb lovers.
once you have brought your fresh herbs home stick them just like fresh flowers into some water.
however unlike fresh flowers cover them with a plastic bag and place in the refrigerator - your herbs like parsley, cilantro and basil will keep much better.
* this bunch of parsley purchased two weeks ago would usually have wilted in a matter of two or three days in the fridge. but somehow with this method
[ greenhouse effect maybe ] it keeps them "fresh faced" :)
