Did you say ....

snack ?! Healthy, crunchy snack ???! 

  I am in ....

So kale chips is what I'm making. I've never made kale chips. but since i have so much of it on hand at the moment and it's supposed to be super healthy i thought it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot. Who knows maybe it'll be the new favorite snack in d'house ! :) 

First preheat your oven to 275 F 

You need 1 bunch of kale washed. make sure it's extra dry [ ran mine through the salad spinner a few times]. 
Cut off the stems then cut into 2inch pieces. 

Place it in a big bowl drizzle with olive oil sprinkle with sea salt and give it a good toss.

Next place the kale in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes at 275 F in the oven. After the 20 minutes check your kale it should have turned into crispy crunchy chips. Kind of the texture of seeweed. 
Now give it a try. Add salt to your liking 

.... and crunch away !! Mine turned out a bit too oily. But hey it's olive oil so no harm done. Next time i will drizzle less. 

Yumm!!  I can see these real tasty with an ice cold beer or as a healthier option then potatoe chips as a side with a tuna sandwich.
