Last minute 4th ....

... of July red,white &  blue dessert

Whip this easy dessert up in less then 10 minutes.
All you need is what you see here in the picture a mixer, ziplock bag & bowl or mason jars.

Whip up some Trader Joes whipping cream or get the your favorite ready whip.

Wash your choice of berries let drip dry and slice or quarter strawberries into desired size.
If fresh berries are not available you can also use frozen mixed berries.

Place the Trader Joes mini meringues in a zip lock. Close the bag up and start hitting it breaking them into smaller pieces.

Now take your clean dry container.
[i chose mason jars this time to make it it picnic ready of choice ] and start by placing the broken meringue pieces in the container then add your berries and top it off with the whipped cream.

Enjoy right away or place in freezer to devour at a later time.
Either way have a Happy 4th everyone!

Credit for this super yummy dessert goes to a fellow german I met a few years ago at a back yard party.
This recipe reminded me of something my best friends mom growing up made from scratch called " baise torte ".
